On our 3rd day in Bali, we set off for Turtle Island. On this island, there's a conservatory for turtles (from hatchlings till they reach adult stage).
In addition to this conservatory, there're also exotic birds and reptiles being kept.To get to Turtle Island, we chartered a speed-boat. Not too expensive, about 750,000 rupiah for 3 pax.
It's a glass-bottom boat that brought us to Turtle Island. Pic below: You can see fishes and corals from the floor of the boat. Beautiful colorful fishes and healthy corals.
After about 20 - 25 minutes ride, we reached Turtle Island. Lots of tourists flocking to see the turtles as you can see from the pic below.
Exotic reptiles such as the bearded dragon are also on display.
The 'innocent' face of a python.
My newly-found young friends on Turtle Island. During school holidays, they work part-time on the island to earn money for school items.
After spending about 2 hours or so on Turtle Island, we left for another attractive location of which the name I've forgotten.
A statue of the Garuda.
Beautiful landscape at Uluwatu.
Too engrossed in the fruit cake which I've given him. Yes, it's a him, it's a male. |
